Three Generations on Main
How the Starle family kept a 1962 feed store alive — and turned it into the heart of downtown Williston.
If you stand at the corner of Main and Noble on a Saturday morning, you'll see what a town looks like when one family decides to stay.
The Starle building has been a feed store, a hardware store, an antique shop, and is now a mercantile. The current generation, Eleanor and Beau, took over in 2019 and quietly turned it into one of the most-recommended stops on the Nature Coast.
"We just wanted to give the makers around here a real shelf," Eleanor says. There are 47 of them now.
